I have a 1998 dodge grand caravan with 106000 miles on it, the dash board lights dont work, the abs & check engine lights are also on, when I hit the dash board sometimes the dash board guages go back on, not this time. Also it may be leaking oil also I noticed on the ground. What could be the problem here? And how much do you think it may cost to fix it.
THANK YOU
ALLEN.

Hi waffleman2. Welcome to the forum. The instrument cluster problem sounds like loose connector pins. They can be soldered to the copper circuits to repair the intermittent connections.

An oil leak is impossible to diagnose without actually looking at it. The most common places to look are a loose oil filter, a leaking pressure sending unit, and a leaking oil pan. Other possibilities depend on which engine you have. On the 3.0L, inspect the front and rear camshaft seals and the valve covers. The valve covers use reusable rubber gaskets. You can tighten them a little if necessary.

Expect to pay around $30.00 - 40.00 for a sending unit and less than a half hour labor to replace it, not including diagnostic time. Resealing valve covers on a 3.3 / 3.8L takes about an hour and a half.
