1997 Dodge Caravan dash gauges

Van starts for about 15 sec. Then dies. Dash gauges do not work at all. No mileage, no feul gauge, nothing. Everything else works fine, window, lights, turning signal, horn, radio, a/c, everything. Ive been told problom could be the alarm system. My wife said that it as happened before and she let it set for 30 min, and it started back up fine. Need help fast thanks.

Does it have a factory anti theft system? Has a "no bus" code ever appeared?

Van has a anti theft system and the only code was o2 censor.

Based on your description, it sounds like an issue with either a bad ground or body control module. If none of the gauges are coming on, I feel the BCM may be at fault. As far as the anti theft, a light would stay on saying it is engaged.
