I just bought this vehicle for my wife and kids, after 2 weeks, it started loosing power while driving on the interstate, where it eventually broke down. I had it towed to a repair shop, where they ran a fuel pressure check. Turned out that it only had about 5 psi, leading us to believe that the fuel pump is bad. We replaced he fuel pump on our own, and that seemed to work, for the rest of that night. The next morning it wouldnt start again. I can hear the pump turn on, but I've been told that you can buy a bad fuel pump new. Shraeder valve barely spits fuel out, more like trickles fuel out. But im afraid to pull the pump again if thats not the issue. Any suggestions?

The only way to find out if the fuel pump is producing the correct pressure is to check it with a fuel pressure gauge if its within specs

Like I said, it only gets about 5 psi. Is it possible that I have a clogged line or dirty tank? Would a bad pump work for the night, then quit the next morning?
