Transmission problem
1996 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
i have a caravan transmission jumps in and out o gear after warmed up, drove for about 3 to 4 hours. after it acts up let it set cool down, over night and its fine for a while 3 to 4 hours. it has been doing this since summer about 4 months. after it cools down it is fine no slipping at all till it heats up or what ever it does. could it be possible that when i had the fluid and filter changed this last summer they used the wrong fluid or filter. the fluid is still red as can be with no burnt smell. i had no problems till about a month after the fluid change. can a transmission be good and then jump in and out and after sits for a while be good again, and doing this for 4 months and not get any worse or go out
