Opening hood to add fluid
Transmission problem
1995 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 189000 miles
I regularly add transmission fluid as there is a small leak (not worth paying to repair/replace at this point). Yesterday could not get hood open. Appears the lever broke, but even after reaching the cable, could not get it to unlatch so I could open it to add transmission fluid and oil. Any suggestions?

Remove the front grille and that should give access to the latch mechanism. The release cable may be broken.
