I have a 1995 Dodge Caravan with 180000 miles on it. I went to start it the other day and it was totally dead, no lights chimes or anything.. I suspected the battery as it was old and I replaced it. After replacing the battery the lights worked, chimes etc. then I turned the key, the starter "clicked" and everything went dead. I disconnected the battery, reconnected it and had chimes, lights, etc and turned the key and everything went dead again. TO get anything I have to disconnect and recoonect the battery. Any ideas?

Bad battery cable most likely. Are the cable ends clean and tight on the battery? If so check all fusible links off positive cable to be sure they are intact
