how can i tell if cv axles need to be replaced .or if just torn rubber boots need replacing?

Generally, if the boots are torn, and grease is all over the place, replace the axle, even if you know how to take apart the rzeppa joint, it's already got dirt grime amd wear issues!. Same amount of work goes into replacing the axle as replacing the joint, most reman axles can be bought for 80.00...cheap enough!
