1992 Dodge Caravan Question about electrical problem.

Have a check engine light come on recently, then while driving the battery light and check gages light came on. Also the battery was getting weaker. Have replaced battery,and had the alternater checked,which the tech tells me its good. I have been using the haynes book to try to locate the problem but to success.Have done what the book said to still no change.Any ideas I'm at the end offmy rope. This is my wifes Van and I've gone as far as I can with my knowledge.Any answers anyone?

The Check Engine light can be one of a dozen things. I would suggest that you fist try applying a little vaseline to the seal on the gas cap. Be sure and tighten the gas cap to past the first two clicks. If this is the problem it will go away after the car has been started and driven a couple of times.
