This Caravan has been well cared for and we haven't had problems until now. We were idling in the parking lot waiting to pick up our son fron school. The van started to sputter and stall. When restarted it would sputter and stall until we could get the engine RPM up higher. Driving home it would sputter and stall and barely move. When I shifted the automatic transmission to first gear and the engine rpm's went up it ran okay until we stopped at a light. It sputtered and stalled again for a while until it caught again in low gear (engine rpm's higher) and ran until we got it home.
