Electrical problem

My son has the Avenger with the SRS Light on. Do you know a way to narrow the possable componit or the weakest link on the Avenger ari bag system. Do you know how much a shop would charge to scan the system. Thanks

Shop rates vary all over the place. They are the people to ask about prices. The most common cause for the light to be on is a broken clock spring under the steering wheel. Eventually, as it continues to break, the cruise control and horn will also stop working. This is a fairly common problem in any car.

What is a clock spring? I have never heard this term.
