I am buying a 1995 Avenger ES and noticed the ABS light is on. The current owner said it started when he installed the after market stereo. The brakes donot seem to be affected any advise?

Thanks.

Disconnect the stero and see if the ABS will work. They may have powered it incorrectly. This can damage modules, which would be expensive to repair!

Only thing I can tell you is get it to a shop that can scan Crysler products for "C"" codes, this will tell you if a sensor or more serious problem like an ABS contol module is the prblem, It may seem like a good deal, but electronic control modules are expensive! A wheel sensor is cheap, but it needs to be scanned to determine which it is!
