Cylinder misfire

Took my car in for diagnostic test and they said that cylinder no 1 misfire and knock sensor circuit. Does a bad knock sensor cause a cylinder to misfire or is it two separate problems?

missifres can be a few things. check compression, check plugs/wires/coil, cap and rotor.

check the injector and related wiring. in most cases basic tune up parts are the answer. once that is fixed, see if the knock sensor code comes back. it may not.
