Dear Sir!

I deeply appreciate your enthusiasm in creating and maintaining this site for sharing your knowledge to car owners!

I had a bad coolant leak from weep hole behind the air compressor. I did a water pump replacement with a kit from Amazon. After that, I still found a small leak at the same site but much less than before. I thought I may have made some mistake during installing or may be the new water pump has a bad seal. But, when I wiped the leak to clean the area I found out that the leak looked like coolant mixed with little engine oil, it thicker and has some viscosity, not like the previous leak, but it's sure coolant with green color and the smell.

Please advise me if it sounds like a bad water pump or the leak is from somewhere else! Is there any method that I can make sure of this by not getting all the belts out?

Thank you in advance! And have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We can't know what is leaking without seeing the car. If you can't determine the source of the leak with confidence by yourself, then you are going to have to get a professional to look at it. Doing things yourself may not always save you money if not done correctly and can possibly do a lot more damage.
