COOLANT BLOWING BACK OUT OF THE RESEVOR/RADIATOR CAP

1997 Ford F-150 • 200,000 miles

4.6 motor. It acts like the coolant isnt circulating. I put 3 thermostats in it and I have the same problem. Doesn't smoke no oil in the coolant or vise versa like a blown head gasket I can smell exhaust fumes in the over flow when I remove the radiator cap. Could this b a blown intake gasket. Or what is going on.

With the engine cold, remove the radiator cap and start the engine. Does the coolant shoot out of the radiator?
