My girfiend has this old grocery getter and all of a sudden it starts sounding like an old vw beetle bug. Ruff idle and just sounds bad. Check engine light was on I jump the diagnostic box and pulled 24.25.43. I need some helpful knowlage.I've done hours of research and can not figure it out? Please someone HELP US GET GOIING AGIAN

'95 and older vehicles have a rather basic fault code system. I can help with the intake air temperature sensor, but first, start with the basics. Look at the spark plugs and wires if you have a misfire or rough running engine. The sensors just tweak the fuel metering calculations and aren't likely to cause a major running problem. Very often the only way to know there's a problem is by the fault codes.
