1995 Other Citroen Models broken key fob

1995 Other Citroen Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 190000 miles
I have broken the remote for my citroen synergie and have recently bought a universal replacement .Is it possible for me to program the key fob myself and how or do i have to take it to the garage?

your vehicle handbook should explain the programming procedure or a dealer will be able to explain/reprogramme !
