I have a 2000 Chrysler Voyager with 59,600 miles on it and a 2.4 L engine. Recently it has had a staring issue. When we turn the key, nothing will happen. All of the warning lights will light up while the key is turned, but the engine won't crank up. If we try to start it three or four times, the van will eventually start and won't have any problems. If we cut it off and start it within the next few minutes, it has no problem either. We have had a new battery put in this year and had an oil change this week. Any ideas?

Hi:
It sounds like the solenoid is bad on the starter. When this happens, have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for 12 volts at the smaller wire on the starter. If you have 12+ volts, replace the starter.

Let me know if you have other questions.
