Radio problem or Battery?

Hello

I have a 2001 chrysler neon and every few days my radio stops working, there is no power going to it as the clock stops as well. I have checked the fuse, its fine the car starts well. Every time the radio stops all I need to do is take a battery cable off its post and put it back on and the radio works again for a few days. It has been our typical spring weather in case that matters (Ontario Canada). Could it be the battery? The Radio? Or something else?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Well weather does play a factor in in radios especially after market radios. The colder it gets the more juice it will take to get it going or it may not even get going. Also if it is after market who ever installed it may have done a bad job splicing and fusing lines together. If you enough about your car to take the deck out and check the lines do so and look for unhealthy connections.

Thanks for the input. It is a factory radio that has never given me any problems in the past. I tried taking the fuse out for a period of time to see if it would reset the radio but it still had no power to it until I took the neg battery cable off and put it back on. I am starting to think its the connection on or the radio itself.

Thanks for your help.

Wow.I would have for sure thought it was after market from what you were saying. But thats not to say factory ones never go wrong either. Well you did the fuse thing so maybe see in your owners manual or look online for a method to reset the deck some have small buttons or some have weird combinations of buttons you must hold down in unison. Have you recently installed anything else electronically in your car? If so that may be pulling power away. If none of that results in anything I would just say its a bad seed. Hope you can get things worked out though.
