Suddenly, my instrument cluster went blank. No speedometer,gas gauge, heat gauge, directional lights, stop lights, warning lights. But I have head lights, runing lights , fog lights. I recently installed hide a hitch unit which uses a T-connector for the light hook up. It has worked properly. But I noticed that the latch on my tailgate door did damage the wire extention that goes to my trailer but doesn;t seem to be shorted. Could a grounding on a wire have caused my dash cluster to go bad. Please help.
