Electrical problem
2002 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2002 Town and Country Van.
This Van came with a power Pas. Sliding Door.

I saw that the Key Fob has both Buttons
for left and right (power sliding doors).
and a blank spot (switch) for the overhead console.

I went and bought a drivers power sliding door from a junk yard, to retro fit in my Van.

Well, it was from a 2007 T&C.

Knowing Mopar, (somewhat).

(I see that a van might have manual windows,
but the Power window harness is there.)

so, ifso the 7 wire plug, going to the Drivers sliding door on my Van, is set up for a Power sliding door.

(remember My Key fob) key chain / with a button for it.

The 7 wire plug to the Drivers sliding door,
ran into a Plug from the Drivers sliding door
using 4 wires;

Power door lock
and
Door (not fully) closed switch, thats lights up on the dash.

So, I installed The Power Sliding Door, the runners
and etc.

Now the fun Part.

I have a 2002.
the 2007 Door has a different Plug.
So I spliced the 2002 (7 wire)
to the 2007 (7 wire) plug.

I also replaced the overhead console
with the 2007 overhead console, cause it had the switch for the door.

all wires (plug) looked the same.

Also installed the B pillar switch ( harness was there)
on my 2002.

go to open the door and to my (knowing) the door wont work. THE DOOR wont work !

(figures).

Heres what works:

The Power door lock works

The Dash warning light (door ajar)/(open) works

and the Cinch Motor works also.
(the Motor that Ciinch's the door closed).

The only Motor that dont work is the Motor
to Open and Close the Door.

My Friend thinks its the Saftey / door lock switch.
The 2002 had only 2 wires going to it, (non power sliding door)
and the 2007 has 4 wires going to it. (Power sliding door)

Can You Help Me? !

I can answer all questions. AL

The power door module may not be communicating with the BCM or the overhead console. Or all three aren't communicating.

You need a scanner capable of reading and re-programming. Assuming all the connections are good, I would suspect this may enable the system to work.

Anytime modules, actuators are repalced or repairs of this nature are performed it calls for a reprogram. IF codes are found, jot them down and clear them before reprogramming.
