2004 Chrysler Sebring Air bags

While driving today, for the first time ever, the "air bag" sign and wording came on - at first, it was on an intermitten basis; then it stayed on. Do you think this might be a "short" or, if not, I'd be interested in your response.

First, have your computer scanned for codes. AutoZone does this for free, however, their scanner isn't (usually) capable of reading these kinds of codes.

(Hopefully you can find someone to do this for free or cheaply)

If your airbag system is malfunctioning, there will definitely be a code in the computer. This code will point you in the right direction.

In some case, I've disarmed/armed the system and this seemed to work. (Not a fix, but a temporary measure)
