2001 Chrysler Sebring

I have a 2001 Sebring that was side swiped and will not start since. Was dented in from the door handle down. Handle not broken, no frame damage, no other damage. If you try to start it, all the lights on the dash come on but nothing happens. Had it checked by a mobile mechanic seems mechanically fine. I'm thinking maybe a securty issue. Does anybody have any ideas?

I'm taking a guess here, but it's definitely worth checking.

If your computer detects the drivers side door open, it may prevent the engine from starting. If the door was hit, then the sensor may have been damaged, and the computer is looking at that as if the door is open.
