Control arm, brakes and rotors
Recently i took my 2002, PTCruiser, 4 cylinder engine, with 76,000 miles in for an inspection and they told me that my front rotors and brake pad and rotors as well as my control arm and bushings all needed to be replaced. is there any way of knowing for sure if this needs to be done, or that i am just getting a con job from the mechanic. I took it to VIP Auto Parts and service. While my brakes do seem to be a bit low, they are'nt even half way to the floor, but i do have a squeeking sound when i apply the brakes. they quoted me an estimate of about $700.00 could i get a better price elsewhere if the problem were valid? thanks for you help. jocelyn

Never hurts to get a second or third opinion!
