I bought the car on 9/21/10. And had to take it in for service three times already. The car began shuttering and not wanting to run. The egine light came on blinked about 5 or 6 times then went off.I let it go. Next day did it again but light remained on.I took it in for service. They dianosed it as a wire problem. They put new plug wires on and sent me home. Half way home at a stop light it began shuttering again and it lost power. I took it back to dealer next day. They said they had misdiagnosed it the first time, and they replaced the coil pack. Light was off till today. When starting it, it shuttered and the light began blinking and then went off 6 times this happened. Went to work and ligt came on on way and is still on. Gas consumption very high and loss of power.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on. Otherwise-see below:

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, jerking, bogging, misfiring etc. Could be caused by one of the following below

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it
