Ignition locked?

My ignition key is locked and the car can't be turned off. Stering wheel is not locking either. Can not remove the key because ignition won't turn to the locked position. What is going on??

Your ignition housing probably needs to be replaced.

It could also be a lose or diconnected wire that is preventing a signal to the computer from the key housing.

How old is your car?

When you turn the key does anything feel loose or slipping?

The key may be worn down slightly to where the key reader inside insert slot may not recognize the formation. Maybe even the lock is jammed for some reason which would require being replaced with a new key housing.
