1988 Chrysler Other Repair Question

1988 Chrysler Daytona 116000 miles w/turbo
This vehicle runs great, but when you take a left turn, it is as if you run out of gas. i have been told that this is the fuel pump but i am not sure. if it is, how much do they cost, and how do you replace it?

Hi:
It sounds more like a short. I would remove the fuel pump and check it. It is in the fuel tank. A new pump should be around 175.00 plus labor.
