MY CAR HAS A 400CID WITH A HOLLEY 2 BBL CARB, IT RUNS ROUGH AFTER A MIN UTE OR TWO ALSO YOU CAN SMELL AND SEE FUEL ON TOP OF THE CARB BODY IS THIS INTERNAL OR JUST AN ADJUSTMENT

Internal could be gasket leak or the float system needs adjustment needle valve could be stuck closed

those particular carbs used to warp and chrysler put out a plate that screwed into the top to make it stay down. The carb probably needs a float adjustment or a new float nowadays due to the alcohol in the gas. It may have eaten the center of the carb float out. If you know how to rebuild a carb fine, if not either get another one orhave a pro look at it.
