Chrysler New Yorker transmission
I have an 89 new yorker, When I got it the dash board flickered intermittantly, When the dashboard does this the car seems to jump and lurch when I come to a stop. I know there are issues with my transmission as well. I just read that the transmission is computer controlled lockup and Computer Controlled Multimode Transmission
could the actual computer be the problem then. or are the transmission issues seperate from the dashboard problems?

sounds like early converter lockup or clutch pack problems. even the wire to the converter could be bad. take it to a trans shop that gives free quotes or cheap ones.
