1993 Chrysler New Yorker Ignition Fuse

Electrical problem
1993 Chrysler New Yorker 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 119500 miles

Hey the other day i used my new yorker to jump start my friends corvette. the new yorker stayed running fine but after i turned it off it did not restart again. i looked and noticed that the 40amp fuse under the hood for the ignition was popped. I replaced the fuse and as soon as i turned the key it popped again. I took off the cables for the battery and cleaned them off. i noticed there was a single wire on the positve terminal that wasent on there completly so i spliced it and re conected it... the car ran and re stared fine 6 times. after about 8 hours of sitting the fuse blew again for the ignitions.. im lost now any help would be great thanks... email me at darthmxer250r@aol.com
