2001 Chrysler Neon 4 cyl Automatic 139000 miles

what does this code mean and why would it turn my engine light on and how can I get rid of it myself? Please get back soon thank you very much for your time and advice!

Engine light illuminates to let you know that the vehicle's computer has found a fault with one of the systems.

P0455 indicates EVAP leak monitor large leak detected.

Possible causes are leaking EVAP system component or intermittent leak detection pump monitor failure. Delete engine trouble code and see if it reappears. If it does you will need to inspect vehicle's EVAP system including all hoses and connections.
