I want to hot wire my own car. My car. I think it is ingnition switch problem and I want to by pass it. I have to fix it NOW. I do not have money to take it somewhere or get a part. I just want to know I can start the car when it doesnt start. All electric works, no lights dim when I turn ingition, just silence, no clicking, no 'nothing'. This happened occasionally only on mornings or at night. In the day it always started. Now it hasnt started in three days, then earlier it started, and now it wont. Had to tow it home. Im going to look at a Chilton and start crossing wires. I do not have the luxury of time or money. Anyone have any other ideas? The bus will not get me to work on time, too early.

I guess I got two of you guys helping. The other guy said jump between POS bat to coil POS pole and short the relay. I followed the cable under the car and it goes to the starter and I cant get to it. I need a method that I can do anywhere anytime the car doesnt start. Can I cross the yellow and red under the sterring colum for the same result? Or Where is the relay? Is it on the fire wall? By the battery on top view of engine? Or underneath?

OK the brown wire goes fromt the battry to a small black box thing on the firewall. It plugs in there. There are also a number of plug/wires leading out of it. Is this the relay? Do I pull the plug out and short that plug to the coil pos post?
