Engine Cooling problem
1998 Chrysler Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

MY CAR IS OVER HEATING AND I CAN ONLY DRIVE FIVE MILES BEFORE ITS HOT. NO WATER OR ANYTHING LEAKING FROM HOSES OR RADIATOR. AND I DON'T NO WHERE TO LOCATE THE THERMASTAT TO CHANGE IT.

Before doing anything, make sure the coolant isn't mixing with the engine oil.

As far as the thermostat, follow the upper radiator hose back to the engine It will lead you to the t-stat housing. I would recommend when you drain the coolant, flush the radiator and the engine block at the same time.
