Hi.
Was driving on the freeway in 80 km/h. Suddenly the transmission goes into the emergency gear(2'nd gear) and the speedometer and the milage counter stopped working.
There also came some oil from the automatic transmission, but it seams like the oil came out of the pipeline that is being used to fill oil into the trasmission gearbox, because it was wet all around and smoke from burned transmission oil came from the engine.
I filled up oil into the automatic gearbox the day after, and there is no leaks from the transmisson now, but the transmission is still in 2'nd gear and the speedometer and counter still doesn't work.
Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with my car?

The fluid was forced out the dipstick because of the speed it was going in 2nd gear.

As far as the problem, you are what is called "Limp Mode". Is is designed to protect the transmission from further damage and to let you get to a repair facility. Now, what caused it? My first guess, based on your description, is a bad Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). The speed sensor tells the computer when to shift gears, tells the speedometer and odometer what the speed and distance are.

I would recommend having the computer scanned to check for trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free, so there will be no money out of pocket for you.
