03 voyager brake problem

I have replaced the front brake pads in my voyager 2.5 diesel and when road tested the first application of the brakes is normal and stops fine but if the brake pedal is pressed again quickly then the pedal is hard as if with no servo assistance. After a few yards the fist application is good again but with the above problem if the pedal is then pressed again quickly. This has only occurred since replacing the pads.

Try checking the check valve that goes to brake booster-

Or the caliper piston seal is not retracting the piston-its job is to pull back the piston away from the rotor.
