Hard start

I have a 2001 Chrysler Concorde LXi, with a 3.2 V6 Engine. Engine will start whenever it feels like it. I'll turn the ignition, nothing, turn the ignition, nothing. Then I'll turn it again and it starts. The next time it'll start on the first turn. It appears to be a random deal. I've disconnected the battery and cleaned the terminals and still the same problems. I've also switched the starter relay to see if it was a bad relay. I'll have to inspect the wires running to the starter to look for frayed or loose connections there as well. I've heard starter solenoids can be the problem, but I don't have the ability to lift the engine the required 2 to 3 inches to remove the starter so, if that's the case I'll have to go to my mechanic for that. Is there anything else you can point to that can help me? Thanks
