As of late I have been having start up issues. They don't seem to happen all the time other than the first time of the day. Seems to be when it's colder in the morning.
When I start engine the car will just die and won't hold an idle. And somtimes looking at the RPM guage the engine idle will "bounce" and stay started. Example, when I turn the key at startup the engine rpm's will be at about 1200 rpm's then drop to 400 rpm's then rebound back up to 1000 rpm's (all at start up).
At the same time, if I press the gas pedel down and hold it at 1000+ rpm for 60+ seconds and release the car remains started and will be good for the day. It does seem to run a little rough. I have changed all the plugs and 3 of 6 of the coil over plugs (no distributer). I am now thinking poss. the Throttle poss. sensor...? Again, it's not every day.
It started after I had a fuel injection cleaning. I talked to the guys at Autozone and they told me it sounded like the Cam shaft sensor. So that has been replaced. Another guy there told me that it could be my battery, he said that if it was bad it could be erasing the memory for the car. I had it tested (bad but still started car) and replaced with a new battery.
There are about 7 sensors for this car and the book says that the, cam shaft sensor and throttle poss. sensors are two vital sensors that work together. At one point the car would not start if the temp. was at range of cooling fan start up range. The engine temp sensor was changed also.
To note: I am not getting any check engine lights or flashing ck engine lights. Also I just had the Washington State emmitions inspection done for my Tabs. It Passed with no issues. That's all I got... It's a V-6 3.2 engine.
Thank You in Advance
