1998 Chrysler Concorde overheating

Engine Cooling problem
1998 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 214000 miles

I just had a new water pump and timing belt installed less than 100 miles ago. Now the engine is overheating. I have also had to have the auto temperature control panel replaced when this went blank and there wasn't any heat in the car. The new panel was lit for a few days, still no heat in car and now the panel remains unlit and no heat. Have had the car to the repair shop many times in the last few months - HELP!

Did the car overheat prior to the timing belt?
