1994 Chrysler Concorde problems with transmission

Purchased 1994 chrysler on the way home stopped at signal light and smell oil is what I thought. Drove around the rest of the night and could smell the same thing once in awhile. The next day when I shifted the car into "r" it did not shift right away and I had to give it gas before actually shifted same thing happen when i put into "d", goes go after that but once you stop it does the samething.
