2000 Chrysler Cirrus trouble codes P0700 & P0700(pd)

Any idea what this means? All I can find is a brief definition of the trouble code.

Use a scanner tool and check TCM for codes
suspect TCM, input and or output speed sensor, wiring

DTC P0604, P0605 & P0700: INTERNAL TRANS CONTROLLER
Circuit Description
DTCs will set if an internal TCM malfunction occurs.
Possible Cause
Internal TCM failure.
Diagnostic Procedure
Using scan tool, check starts since set counter. If counter displays 3 trips or less, replace TCM. If counter displays more than 3 trips, go to next step.
Record all DTCs and one trip failures. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. Turn ignition from off to on, then start engine. Apply brakes. Slowly move gearshift lever through each gear position. Check if DTC P0604, P0605 and/or P0700 has reset. If DTC P0604, P0605 and/or P0700 is present, replace TCM. If DTC P0604, P0605 and/or P0700 is not present, go to next step.
Inspect the following for pushed out terminals or faulty connections and repair as necessary:
Engine Ground Connections
TCM Grounds
TCM Battery Feed
TCM Fused Ignition Switch Output Circuit
Power Feed To Transmission Control Relay
If procedure in previous step fails to diagnose problem, erase DTCs using scan tool. Perform VER-1A: VERIFICATION TEST. If transaxle is still not functioning correctly, go to next step. If transaxle is functioning correctly, test is complete.
