Notice a whine on start up and gets louder as the car accelerates. Sometimes the noise is not there on start up and the car is fine. There is no loss of power. Car runs fine. Just the whining noise. Sounds like an electric car, sometimes louder like a siren

Turns out it was the transmission. Had transmission re-built a month ago. Now I notice transmission fluid leak and slight noise on acceleration. Also, my check engine light just came on. I guess it's time to take it back to the transmission shop. By the way, can anyone tell me where the drain plug is located for the radiator? Thanks!
