The climate control pannel on my 1990 5th ave finaly quit after stoping and starting for a while. Now I have no heat and none of the buttons on this pannel work. Everything else works fine. My mechanic looked at it and the blower motor and the relay and all fuses are fine. But none of the buttons on the temperature control pannel work.I hope someone can tell me what the problem is.

Welcome to the 2CarPros forum, I might be mistaken but, if memory serves me, that vehicle has a climate control processor built in the control head. If so try disconnecting negative battery cable, wait 10 seconds, and re-attach cable. See if it reset the climate control.

I posted a question on Sunday at 11.49 AM Nov 29 HEATER PROBLEM. Thank you for your reply to my question.I have taken the neg cable off many times, but without sucsess. This last week my heater has worked fine for no apparent reason. One day I started and stopped my engine about eight times and every thing worked fine and all the buttons worked fine. ( I was shopping). Returning home I was sure it was fixed, so I pressed the off button just to make sure it was fixed. It has not worked since. There dose not seem to be any power going to any of this pannel. Almost like a relay not kicking in or something similar. All fuses are OK. You mention the control head which I assume is the pannel with the buttons. And the climate control modual I assume is behind the glove box. Where dose the power to the control head come from? That I may check it. I hope you can help me with this problem. I await your answer, Thank you. Tony.
