1994 Chevy Van air cuts off

When engine is under a load, like going up hill or when accelerating the air from the main vents cuts off. It actually sounds like the fan stops blowing and all air stops until the engine load is reduced. I have replaced all vacuum hoses and connectors and can not find any leaks. About the same time this started, the idle got a little rough and there is a lack of power when engine is cold.

might try a blower motor resistor, controls blower speed

The local dealer actually had the part but it did not fix the problem.

do you have a anti back flow valve in line on the vaccume line to the heater controls, if you do ck it if you dont you need 1, air should go through it 1 way, should be under the hood by the heater box, its small and cone shaped, no bigger than a quater and no smaller than a dime
