I have a 1996 chevrolet monte carlo ls, 3.1l
the problem started after i rinsed the motor off. The car quit charging the battery. i replaced the alternator, the car has a new battery. i disconnect the battery and the car dies. the computer plug in to the alternator is putting out 10.46 volts. I was thinking this has something to do with it. all the fusible links in the starter wires are good. the alternator i put on the car is a ac delco remanufactured alternator.

someone please help??!!
