96 Chevy van 305ci-starting problem

Will not start when first cranked, doesn't even sound like it firing. Second crank it will try to start for a second, third crank it will start and run good. Normal steady idle, good power throughout driving range. Shut it off and wait a few minutes and wont start again. Any ideas?

I did some investigating this after noon and found that the positive cable was just a little loose. I tightened it down and problem was solved. Might be useful information for somebody with a simiular problem, van actually acted like it wasn't getting enough gas but ran fine after started :lol:
