I have a 1992 chevy truck with a TBI 305 that stalls every time I drive it after it warms up. After about 15 minutes of run time it stalls at any speed. It starts right back up but usually dies right away. I have to let it sit for a few minutes before it will start and stay running. Funny thing is if I leave the Air Conditioning on the truck never stalls. It's getting cold out and I need to find a better solution than leaving the AC run. I have replaced the fuel filter and ECU (computer). Please help
Thanks

Do you smell raw gas after you shut it off or at any time? At any point while running does the idle feel like it just wants to Run over 2500 rpm without touching the pedal?Take all the air cleaner parts off, and the aluminum disk around the TBI. INSPECT IT. All areas.
Tighten the 3 main TBI bolts (13mm).
Using a #15 torx screwdriver check to make sure all the fuel meter caps screws are tight.
Do you have a lot of gunk around the pressure regulator? (At back of TBI). Clean that crap out by scraping with a small scewdriver. SOLVENTS CAN HARM THE REGULTOR. BE CAREFUL. The cap & regultor do fail. It is a single unit, do not try to separate. This is the most likly cause of your problem. Replacement is about 30 mins. Usually only the dealership parts carry this item but check with the discount stores in your area.
Remember DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE YOU START. SPARKS & GAS DO NOT MIX WELL ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR FACE WILL BE PRETTY DAMN CLOSE.

Good luck, let us know what happens.
