While putting out an engine fire, I got an unknown amount, I would say less than a cup, of water in the carburetor. The engine was not running at the time, but the water drained down into the intake manifold. I have not tried to start the engine. Do I need to take any special measures to remove this small amount of water before trying to start the engine?

It shouldn't bother it but ot be on the safe side, pull a few of the spark plugs(at least 4) and crank the engine. It should blow all the water out and then fire the truck as normal.
