Engine Performance problem
2000 Chevy Tracker 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 240000 miles
I have a 2000 4 X 4, 4 cylinder Cheverly Tracker. Recently it will not idle, but cuts out while at stop or very low speeds. At high way speeds, it runs OK, however it is heavier on gas. I took it to a garage for a diagnostic test. The test gave vague results and said it was running rich, one possible solution is a new ERG valve. However, at $600, I want to make sure that is the actual problem, before I start replacing parts.
