Alarm system

I have a 1996 chevy tahoe, igot from my brother (he recently passed away) the truck has some sort of engine problem. But the alarm wont let it run. It will crank up but shuts right down. Can someone tell me how to disconnect the alarm system completly. He lost the remoteso I just wont to disconnect it until I can do the engine work and ill have a new system installed later the engine size is a (5.7 LITER). IF ANY IDEALS PLEASE HELP ME. The alarm system is a viper 550 esp

I took mine with an after market alarm to my local repair shop and he removed it all in less than an hour. So for a few bucks I was able to get rid of any of the problems related to that.

You might do the same.
