Tail Lights, Dash Lights and Side Markers not working

When I turn the Headlights on, only the Headlights come on. The Tail Lights, Dash Lights and Front Marker Lights to not come on. With the switch in the parking light position, nothing comes on. Fuses are all good. I suspect a bad switch, but I'm not sure. This happened a couple of time before. The Dash Lights were out (didn't know about the tail lights until I got pulled over), but they came on when I messed with the dimmer switch (not sure if that did it, or if it was just a coincidence). As of 2 days ago, the problem is still there, so I think my intermittent problem is now permanent.

Thanks for the help.

After reading more on this subject in this forum, I decided to check the switch connections. I pulled the dash and when I inspected the wiring to the switch, it was very obvious what the problem was. The ground (brown wire) was burned open at a crimp connector. Not sure why the crimp connector was there (alarm system?), But it was crispy. Reconnected the wires and everything is working. Now to wait for it to burn open again. ;-)
