SUBURBAN FUEL PUMP PROBLEMS.......HELP!

Hey,
I was driving my 1997 5.7 GMC Suburban yesterday, stopped off and when i got back in it 5 mins later it wouldn't start! There is plenty of fuel in it, the fuel relay is clicking but the fuel pump doesn't seem to be making any noise.....how loud are they, should i hear it from under the tank? Is the an inertia switch fitted to the 97 gmc's? Could this of been activated some how? Any ideas please HELP? This car is a US model shipped to the UK where its hard to gain info on them.....

No inertia switch. Take a funnel and put in the filler neck. HAve someone turn the key to "on" and have your ear up the the megaphone (funnel). IF nothing try rapping on the bottom of the tank. That may jar it temporarily to work.

IF you need one get the delphi.

There is a connector that needs to be replaced when changing the pump:
